MDS (Oral Pathology & Micro biology)

Oral Pathology is that part of pathology and a branch of dentistry concerned with the scientific study of the causes and effects of oral diseases an understanding of which is essential for diagnosis and for the development of rational treatment and preventive programmes. It is the specialty of dentistry that deals with the nature, characteristics, cause, effects and diagnosis of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions and study of the immune system, which facilitates appropriate treatment of the same. The Postgraduate students are trained to attain competence in dealing with the nature of oral diseases, their causes and effects.
