MDS in ENDODONTICS
Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerning dental pulp and tissues surrounding the roots of a tooth. “Endo” is the Greek word for “inside” and “odont” is Greek for “tooth.” Endodontic treatment, or root canal treatment, treats the soft pulp tissue inside the tooth.
The following are the major procedures.
- *Execution of Endodontic Implants.
- * Execution of Root-end filling
- * Execution of Vital pulp therapy
- * Execution of Repair procedures
- * Execution of surgical removal of tooth structure
- * Execution of Bleaching of discolored deutin and enamel
- * Execution of Selective surgical removal of pathological tissues resulting from pulpal pathosis.
MDS in Endodontics is a three year post graduate degree offered by many dental colleges in India and the basic eligibility to join for the course is a pass in BDS from a recognised university. The admission to MDS is through NEET PG entrance examination conducted nationwide.
